Well, then…

Forgive me Father for I have sinned…It’s been a few months since I wrote in my blog! The weeks to follow the July post there was a 48 hour outbreak of extreme heat and crazy wildfires in my hometown. It was an adjustment. Thankful to a neighbor who promised to honk the horn loudly and wake us if the fire took a turn overnight. Then months ensued of a visual infection that spawned from the soot dropping on our homes. It festered and my vision began to fade fast in my right eye. In a moment of fright, I reminded and calmed myself, you can see beautifully through your left eye. Remember that guy with one eye? He plumbs and drives with one eye just fine! He just leaves a wake of dented cars in his wake…perhaps I could add reflector tape on my car and drive at all times with my hazards and a siren, I mused.

It’s now February 16, 2023. I have an incredible partner in eye health. My eye healed. Apparently the doctor was equally very worried. And I have contacts that are better suited to my vision, reducing my need for reading glasses. They dropped from a 2.50 to a 1.50. My clothes are beginning to adjust closer to the original frame I was born into. I have dumped hefty bags of the clothes I dreaded for awhile that supported me, and have been slowly adding new articles of happy clothing. We have been through another severe ice storm, as bad as the one in 2021, equally purged and tore up 80% of the trees on my 10 acres. I’ve listened to many complain about the bids they are paying. I just cannot afford that much every two years! Which is why I just charge the batteries, add the oil and gasoline, and become better skilled at various chainsaws. This time I threw my hip joint and almost my atlas. A week later I discussed it with all body parts and we came together on the yoga mat. Speaking of which. Did I not mention on here I am a certified yoga instructor with many, many advanced hours of training in varying limbs of yoga, ayurveda, and more? Sometimes I lose my credentials in humility. But I promise you, I’m not just a yoga student obsessed by the pigeon pose.

I’m constantly inspired by space, the energy of objects and space, pivoting and creating a brilliant newer version of tomorrow with a simple shift in gaze. Change is always happening. Big change IS happening at this very moment. How will we pivot? Will we lean into the curves, or will we sway and dangle in the gusts that shake our comfortable patterns apart? I hear in the ether I’m leaving a lot on the table so to speak. What exquisite life beats am I missing by following my routine? There is so much more than chasing my mailbox key down for 18 months from my property manager. I know this. There is so much more to listen to than a notice that my wifi service is discontinuing as of April first. This is why I investigated hotspots and more tech hacks last weekend, installed satellite service this week, and wished the providers a happy retirement. Spend a moment on identifying change, execute it, then set your seats in the upright position and hang on tight for the bigger changes that follow all of these cogs in space. This morning several deer kept running circles around the pups and I as we adventured through the back property. What a great way to begin any day.
