Emphasis on Feeling Better!
weavE multiple therapies into one specialty session,
Enjoy More time and money for your more awesome, future self
Consider a realty where the body issue becomes the background and not an ongoing obstacle to your best life. A realty where in order to feel better you do not need to see multiple therapists and doctors on a regular basis. A future where you can get the advice for your life and body to support yourself in between at maximum, a monthly visit to your specialist, who will notify you of anything new that needs attention.
Simplicity
My practice is simple. It is not a retail or spa model that offers a dedicated receptionist and multiple massage therapists on call. I generally schedule appointments in advance, typically as preventative long-term care, rather than a last minute appointment. Please no walk/call-ins; by appointment only for in-office and remote/consults/sessions. Business Hours are Monday - Friday, 9-4pm. Emily Young, LMT, LLCC, (512) 905-8101 (texts are welcome), emilybodywork@me.com. I promise to try my best to return your text, email, or call within 48 Business Hours. Please note that the phone is turned off after hours, most major holidays, and on weekends. Emergencies should always consult your doctor or urgent care. If you’re a pro, you can probably skip this page. If not, everything you need to know about our the office end of our practice is outlined here. That way we can focus on bodywork when we meet!
Wimberley Office - Please contact directly to schedule, (512) 905-8101, texts are welcome.

What to Expect, Your First Session - This business is streamlined to support our passion through levity and intensity. Clients that come to me realize this is typically not a one time session; however, our work is thorough, investigative in nature, and intensive to ideally minimize the maintenance schedule as you improve. Clients who come to this practice are seeking a better lifestyle mentally and physically. In return I am committed to growing, advanced training, a convenient location and hour options, and a clean and restful suite to support such. Ideally you begin with a thorough 90-minute New Client Session. A longer session is recommended to better grasp the issue and actively treat in the same session with more realistic expectations for both client and therapist.
Start + End Time - Rarely do we run late, but if we do it's only a matter of 5 minutes. As always, I vow to keep the schedule on time, rarely more than 5 minutes delay (if that). That allows us all to respect all clients’ and therapist’s time equally. The start time scheduled absorbs the time spent disrobing, a full body scan, and dialoguing goals of the session. The session will end promptly at the scheduled end time. I am happy to absorb time following the end time for you to dress, handle payment and future scheduling as needed.
RATE PROGRAM HSA Cards Accepted!
Please rest assured, no tipping permitted. My practice was one of the first nationwide and Austin wide to offer the gratuity free business model. My specialist rates are based on commercial rental and fair living costs in central texas, in tandem with rates that are based on efficiency of your time and results in the treatment room. You shouldn’t have to buy a bundled package upfront to get the results you came in for. Many clients express they needed 2 sessions/week to do what we do in 1 session/month. My wish is for you to coexist with your body, not be driven by its chronic care. Discounts and packages are moot in my practice because you shouldn’t need that many therapists and sessions/ month given our more comprehensive and efficient approach on the table.
(Insurance - I am happy to provide you an initial base receipt for you to keep track of your appointments for HSA or other supported fees under your insurance plan / current medical plan of your doctor(s). Please let me know in advance. Many clients confuse our lack of processing their insurance for them as we do not accept insurance. Unfortunately we and most practitioners like us do not have any say in this arena. It is solely up to your selected insurance plan and insurance company. We advise you to contact them directly ahead of time to find out how they may support you on this healing path. Beyond a base receipt, we are not set up with a dedicated office administration to process your insurance on your behalf. This is up to you. Thank you.)
*RATES - Half Hour $125, Hour $200, Hour+ Half $300
*CANCELLATION POLICY AND PROCESS:
Please know that your cancellation fee supports the vitality of our business model to quietly offer client donations to those in crisis, as well as, continued and year round special rate programs to First Responders/Public School Teachers. When you short the practice it shortchanges the myriad philanthropic programs for certain demographics, as well it burdens the admin, taking away from the healing and human support for others. These covered gaps in last minute scheduling ensure continued support to the philanthropic and business model in its entirety, thus, allowing this community to support more of our Austin population. Fees are not penalties, but assurances that you respect our goals and believe in investing back into a model that can continue to support yourself and your community.
Currently Austin trends are rewarding client referrals with dollars between spas and doctors. I have intentionally chosen this to not be a part of my business model. Referrals are solely based upon your experience as a client to spread the love to your community.
Cancellation Process - How it Works:
Things happen. Please don’t ever worry about this. I get it. I promise to do my best to refill your spot, no matter what time frame it falls within. No penalty if any session of 90minutes or less is canceled a week out. So, if your appointment is Tuesday at 930am. Please cancel by 930am the Tuesday prior. Any booking 90minutes or less, cancelled within the week of ,will be charged in full. If I successfully rebook your cancellation, you’ll enjoy a credit less $50 rebooking fee.
*For multiple personal and/or family booking cancellations exceeding 90minutes within a 7business day window, please cancel two weeks prior to avoid cancellation fees. Business Days are Mondays - Fridays.*
NO SHOWS are charged within 15minutes to credit card on file in full. Again, if client is able to call and discuss, credit will be applied at therapist's discretion within guidelines of cancellation policy. Therapist will make attempts to contact client several times before assuming the client is simply late.
EMERGENCY / SICK CANCELLATIONS - Given the nature of much of my business, supporting compromised lymphatic systems, I do ask that you cancel if you have a fever, so, as to not spread to others. Unless it is a viral bug/24 hour flu, however, most of us know we are sick the day or night before a scheduled appointment. Or sick without a fever overnight? I request you email or text a cxl notice by 9am, but preferably earlier or even overnight. That allows me to attempt to refill with others in an emergency response, and with grace, allows you to heal without concerning yourself about admin. After 9AM I try to provide grace, but unless you’re in an ambulance or last minute funeral, compassion goes both ways. I will at least charge you a 30min fee to attempt to deal with last minute changes. Thank you for your understanding in advance. AGAIN, PLEASE NOTE: my phone is silenced overnight, so, PLEASE DO NOTIFY me at any hour that you will be cancelling. IF I’ve misunderstood the situation, please call me to discuss. Fragmented texts and emails don’t always provide me a full snapshot of what is going on, especially when I am working back to back clients. Sometimes I just have to make the call in lieu of a dialogue. If I’ve gotten it wrong, please reach out to discuss.
Thanks so much! Now let’s just focus on bodies, healthy living, and the joy from it all!
