Why Epsom baths are critical to the human race (joke??)
You all ask what I do to help body constantly—a plethora of tools help me DAILY. Not kidding. I just came off a day of helping y’all clean up cobwebs in the back of your flesh closets. 4.5 hours deep tissue mixed with brain tissue, spinal membrane work, and another 30+ minutes total of heavy sanitizing with alcohol. I ate an early dinner and I am now collapsed like a nice Turkish rug (elegant but stiff) in my Home Depot, 6’ jetted tub. I can feel the nerves, my trigger points, your trigger points, our mutual edema, all wafting like steam.
First of all, jetted bathtubs get. Bad rep for hard to clean—there is a ferocious cleaner just for this on amazon. It’s rare to use, and im open to discovering a more natural version . But it degunks quarterly, leaving a nice sheen on my fiberglass, freestanding tub. The jets feel amazing slamming bubbles into my axillary nodes (arm pits), and begin the lymph. The bottoms of my feet and all areas targeting the ankles….just feels bliss like rainbows arching from the water in ever direction…then I’m so happy, I swear unicorns dressed in glitter fly by. I imagine that’s the epsom salt hard at work releasing tense muscles for a good day’s battering at the massage table. Along for the ride, I’m sporting icy blue, medical grade gels—yoga toes. They release fascial lines all the way up the body.
it’s challenging to walk the boys at 6am but the light and walking with our fellow herds of deer, jackrabbits, foxes, armadillos and tarantualas help. It’s nice to be amongst “family”, nature as some call it. This morning I had a rare chance to climb onto the peloton with camila and take in the today show. Yesterday was a brief stint on the rower following our walk, preceding a full Tuesday and an impromptu visit to our new mechanic. We’re about to sponsor them a beautiful, beach vacation. I’m pretty sure.
Then, finally, most weeknights and mondays, i grunt-morph the body into yoga poses to release so much more. It’s always tough to get onto the mat; it’s always easy to stay.
I’ve been through enough to feel relief, joy, empowerment that I can do so much for myself. Happy to teach you what I can and provide a place for you to let go of the rest.
I’ve been in this bath sooooooo long!
